       The Universe is the total number of outlets of a particular type in a particular area. When talking about a country Universe, we mean the number of all outlets in the country unless other mentioned (e.g. urban population or specific type of outlets)
       Retail Audit Agencies estimate Universe based on the special census study. They sell/ provide this information, in some countries you have this fact in the database if not we can calculate the Universe based on Retail Audit data by selecting any product from the database and applying the following formula:

      Universe= (Sales Volume÷Average Sales per Store) ÷ Numeric Distribution

      Please note that (1) units of measure for Sales Volumes and Average sales per Store should be еру same,(2) reporting periods should be the same for all three values and (3) distribution should be in %. Recalculate accordingly if required.
