ABOUT RETAIL AUDIT

     About Retail Audit

       Distribution of SKU Set is an additional measure to control performance of brand portfolio presence in the outlets. Additional to Average Number of SKUs per store. It shows the number of outlets that stock all SKUs from the set at the same time.
       Your brand has 2 SKUs. You know Numeric Distribution of each SKU and Numeric Distribution of the Brand. Numeric Distribution of the Brand means percentage of stores where presented at least one SKU of the brand. Based on this information we can calculate distribution of stores where presented all 2 SKU of the brand and should sum up distribution of both SKUs and exclude distribution of the brand:

      A∩B = А+B-AUB

, where A∩B is a % of stores where both SKUs are present, A is a % of stores with first SKU (Numeric Distribution of SKU#1), B is a % of stores with second SKU (Numeric Distribution of SKU#2) and AUB is the % of stores with either SKU1 and/or SKU2 (Numeric Distribution of Brand)

      Example: Brand Х contains 2 SKUs: 1 liter PET и 2 liters PET. Numeric Distribution of Brand X is 50%, 1liter PET is 25% and 2liters PET is 30.
Distribution of SKU Sets
      Distribution of both SKUs = 25%+30%-50% = 5%.
Distribution of SKU Sets
       Similar approach is used in the case of more than 2 SKUs, but we can’t do it based on standard info in Retail Audit database, we need to ask Retail Audit agency for missing data (all necessary combinations).

       A formula for a brand with 3 SKUs:

      A∩B∩C = А+B+C-AUB-AUC-BUC+AUBUC

       ,where А,B,C is Numeric Distribution of SKU1, SKU2 and SKU3 accordingly, AUBUC is Numeric Distribution of Brand. AUB, AUC and BUC – Numeric Distribution of combinations with 2 SKUs, these numbers should be calculated by Retail Audit agency.

       Example:

      A = 30%
      B = 20%
      C = 40%
      AUB = 40%
      AUC = 45%
      BUC = 50%
      AUBUC = 55%

       For this example the result of 3SKUs distribution:

      A∩B∩C = А+B+C-AUB-AUC-BUC+AUBUC=30%+20%+40%-40%-45%-50%+55%=10%

       A formula for calculation of SKU Sets distribution with any number of SKU is the following:

Sets of SKU

       Weighted Distribution for SKU Sets is calculated in similar way.
